Media Power Youth works within communities to empower youth to lead healthy, safe lives through smart use of media.Media Power Youth (formerly MediaSmart of Child Health Services) is a 501C3, based in Manchester, New Hampshire, that collaborates with public health and prevention programs, school districts and communities to create and implement evidence-based programs with positive results that help parents, professionals and youth understand media's role in influencing behavior. We guide families and professionals to help children and families use media in responsible, healthy ways. We help youth understand the power of media and how to use and produce media to promote healthy decision making. We empower youth to use and produce media responsibly to avoid at-risk behaviors and promote healthy choices. Media Power Youth reaches youth through school and community settings; we reach parents and professionals through trainings, community and school forums, workshops, advocacy, and public information.
