Building resiliency and healthy behaviors
Media has a significant impact on our youth’s health, behavior, social interactions and academic success . Learn how to teach children what they need to know about media so they can make healthy choices.
Children gain amazing benefits from interacting with media but they need to be aware of the potential negative effects from:
violent and inappropriate media
use interfering with sleep, studying or concentration
online bullying affecting mood and behavior
content impacting self-esteem
influences on risky behaviors: unhealthy eating, substance use and sexual behavior
